American Cancer Society Gala In White Plains To Honor Cappelli Family

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The American Cancer Society will honor the Cappelli family with its Leadership Award in memory of Concetta and Luca Cappelli at its Diamond Casino Royale Gala on Friday, May 31, at the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester Hotel.

The Cappelli Organization is a group of companies founded by patriarch Luca Cappelli that are known for their innovative and recognizable developments in Westchester, including White Plains City Center, Trump Tower White Plains, Trump Plaza New Rochelle, Trump Park Residences, New Roc City and its flagship Renaissance Square development.

Louis Cappelli is president and CEO of the company as well as chairman of the Louis R. Cappelli Foundation, a funding source designed to assist at-risk youth to reach their full potential. The foundation has awarded more than $7.3 million in grants since its inception in 1999.

This year is the American Cancer Society’s centennial, commemorating 100 years of fighting cancer. In the past century, the organization has had a role in every major cancer achievement, according to the society.
