Vitale has worked at The Westchester Bank since 2010 and most recently served as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending. In his new capacity he will be responsible for growing new loan activity while managing a loan portfolio in excess of $150 million across a broad industry spectrum that includes commercial, industrial, service, non-profit, homeowner associations and medical.
“It’s been a rewarding experience working with so many dedicated and talented people here at the bank,'' Vitale said. "As a lifelong Westchester resident, I have a great appreciation of the special community in which we live and serve. It has also afforded me a unique perspective of the marketplace and the specialized banking needs of our local businesses. That goes a long way toward tailoring the best loan solutions for each respective business partner we have the privilege to serve."
Prior to joining The Westchester Bank, Vitale had six years of commercial lending experience as Senior Credit Analyst with Chase Bank’s Middle Market Commercial Lending Group. His community activities range from volunteer Coach and Treasurer for The Westchester Knights, a Yonkers AAU Basketball Program, to running and raising money for The March of Dimes.
Vitale is a graduate of Fairfield University with a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics and an Iona Prep graduate. He remains active with both Iona Prep and Fairfield Alumni groups and resides in White Plains.
"Mike’s elevation to Vice President, Commercial Lending is well deserved,'' said John M. Tolomer, President & Chief Executive Officer of The Westchester Bank. "His lending expertise, great work ethic and people skills make him a valued member of our loan team. I fully expect Mike to play an important role in achieving our 2015 goals."
