WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Almost 51,000 pairs of sandals manufactured by Madewell are being recalled because of a potential tripping hazard, according to a report in The New York Times.

Madewell, a brand of J. Crew, had gotten eight complaints that a metal shank had broken through the bottom of the shoe, The New York Times reported.

There have been no reports of injuries, The Times reported.
