A&P Battles Union In Court Over Severance, Seniority

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Grocery chain A&P is battling with representatives from a workers' union in White Plains Court over severance pay and seniority disagreements, according to News 12 Westchester.

The grocery store, which filed for bankruptcy in July, wants to close 25 locations by early September and sell of the remaining stores. Company representatives are saying if they aren't able to significantly reduce seniority and severance benefits, it could hinder their ability to sell some of the remaining stores, News 12 Westchester reported.
