Wallkill Man Left Dogs In Freezing Cold Without Food, Water, Police Say
Orange County Sheriff's deputies attempting to serve a felony warrant on a Wallkill man last month, instead found two dogs in metal fenced pens outside in the freezing cold.
Deputies said that Wade Haynes, 39, had left a gray female Pitbull and a black female Rottweiler, who were both emaciated, in bitter cold conditions without any shelter, or food or water, said Capt. Paul Arteta.
With the assistance of the Town of Wallkill Animal Control, both dogs were rescued and taken to the Pets Alive Animal Sanctuary in Middletown.
