2 People Injured During Hudson Valley Crash, Police Say Two people were injured during a two-car crash in the Hudson Valley. The collision took place in Ulster County in Kingston around 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5 on Route 28. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, an investigation revealed that a 2012 Toyota, driven by Steven Beckerman of Woodstock, was traveling west in the right lane.   A 2006 Volkswagen, driven by Steven Kapushy of Boiceville, was also traveling west in the right land on Route 28. Man Charged After Handgun Found During Hudson Valley Traffic Stop, Troopers Say A 24-year-old man with an expired license was found in illegal possession of a handgun during a Hudson Valley traffic stop, police reported.  Fairfield County resident Bryon Bloomfield, of Norwalk, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm on Friday, July 22, according to New York State Police. Hudson Valley Man Killed In Fiery, Chain-Reaction Crash A horrific, fiery, chain-reaction five-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on the Brooklyn Bridge caused the death of a Westchester man. It began when a pickup rear-ended a Volkswagen and another vehicle, causing the Volkswagen to rear-end an SUV which then struck another SUV. Kristopher Hambas, 32, of Scarsdale, the Volkswagen driver, was identified as the victim of the 7 a.m. crash on the Brooklyn-bound side. Six people suffered minor injuries, including two who were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
