A four-month-long investigation into drug trafficking in the region led to the arrest of 36 people and the seizure of a large number of drugs. A pair of newlyweds claimed no memory of a crash and subsequent assault last month in northern New Jersey, according to a recent report. Allan and Stephanie Grosso of Pine Bush, N.Y., were headed home from Oktoberfest at Mountain Creek on Sept. 21 when the incident occurred outside of a Vernon business, the NJ Herald reports. Mountain Creek Pool Technician Justin Lazier, 32, Was 'Never Without A Smile'
Justin K. Lazier of Vernon died unexpectedly on Monday, July 15 at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital in Warwick, N.Y. He was 32 years old. A Newton native, Justin graduated from Vernon High School and was a pool technician for Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, his obituary says. He loved being outdoors, particularly in the snow, and was remembered for his positivity. A 32-year-old man was sentenced to five to 15 years in state prison in connection with the deaths of two women during a vehicle crash. Christopher Perrella, of Vernon, New Jersey, was sentenced Thursday, Jan. 24, by Orange County Court Judge Robert H. Freehill for the deaths of two women, who were passengers in a car that Perrella had been driving on Nov. 4, 2017, the Orange County District Attorney's Office said. A drunk driver was charged with four counts of aggravated vehicular manslaughter in connection with a November crash into a home that killed two people, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.
