Found: Port Jervis Woman, Age 28, Had Been Missing Since July A 28-year-old Hudson Valley woman who went missing nine-and-a-half months ago has been found. Orange County resident Heather Callas, of Port Jervis, a mother of three who was reported missing Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, by her mother, had not been seen or heard from since Saturday, July 2. Callas left voluntarily and was believed to have traveled to New York City, according to the Port Jervis Police Department. Raymond Ellery, 42, of Poughkeepsie, who was critically injured during the Friday, June 5 crash, at the Wurtsboro–Sullivan County Airport in the town of Mamakating, died on Saturday, June 13. Duo Charged With Burglary, Assault In Area Two men from the area have been charged with burglary and assault, police say. New York State Police at Wurtsboro arrested Sullivan County residents Homer Caceres, 51 and Keshawn Tate, 22, both of Woodridge, on Monday, Dec. 9. The arrests come as a result of a November incident where police say the men unlawfully entered a residence and assaulted the victim. Caceres and Tate were charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault, both felonies. They were arraigned in the Town of Mamakating and remanded to Sullivan County Jail on $40,000 bail.

New York State Police say Michael Ramos, 35, of Middletown was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 11 after he allegedly presented himself as a realtor and accepted a downpayment from a victim in June. Ramos showed the victim a foreclosed property in the town of Thompson in Sullivan County and accepted a cash downpayment, according to police. Woman Charged With DWI After Route 17 Mercedes Vehicle Violations Stop A 49-year-old Westchester woman was charged with DWI following a traffic stop by New York State Police. Antoinette L. Williams of Mount Vernon was arrested around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday after being stopped in her Mercedes 350 on Route 17 in the Town of Mamakating for various traffic violations, said Trooper Steven Nevel, spokesman for the New York State Police.
