Area Woman Held In Dwi-drugs Head-On Crash, State Police Say An area woman has been charged with alleged vehicular assault and driving while under the influence of drugs after crossing the double yellow line and hitting a Volkswagon head-on. The crash took place around 3 p.m. in Sullivan County on Saturday, Sept. 11, on Route 17 B in the town of Bethel, said the New York State Police. Police: Orange County Woman Allegedly Punches, Strangles Passenger In Cab State Police arrested an Orange County woman who got into a physical altercation with another passenger in a cab for alleged assault. Deyshanna Hamilton, 31, of Middletown was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 12, for an assault that allegedly occurred on Sunday, Nov. 8, in Middletown, said State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Orange County Man Charged With DWI In Route 17 Stop An Orange County man was busted with a blood alcohol content nearly quadruple the legal limit after crashing into another driver on Route 17 in Mamakating. New York State Police troopers were dispatched to a stretch of Route 17 on Wednesday night, where there was a report of the crash. During the subsequent investigation, police said that it was determined that the driver, Monroe resident James Oshea, 66, was driving while impaired.
