Man Caught With Pound Of Pot In I-87 Stop Near Orange County A traffic stop led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man who was in possession of more than a pound of marijuana on I-87. New York State Police troopers conducted a traffic stop of Bronx resident Steven Nevarez shortly before 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 30 in Plattekill for an equipment violation. During the subsequent stop, troopers said that they were given probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants. During that search, troopers determined that Nevarez was in possession of more than a pound of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with a felony count of criminal possession of marijuana. H…
