Potent Storm Knocks Out Power To Tens Of Thousands In Parts Of Hudson Valley Thousands of customers in parts of the Hudson Valley lost power after a powerful storm moved through the region. More than 21,000 customers were left in the dark when the potent storm brought strong wind gusts and heavy rain to central and northern Ulster County just after 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, according to Central Hudson.
