Hudson Valley Duo Nabbed After 500 Gallons Of Cooking Oil Stolen From Restaurant, Police Two New York men have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than 500 gallons of used cooking oil at a Connecticut restaurant. The men, both from Westchester County, were stopped in Litchfield County in Harwinton around 5:45 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 12. According to Connecticut State Police, the duo, identified as Yonkers residents Jeyson Santiago, age 25, and Isaac Then, age 25, were stopped after troopers received a 911 call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near a restaurant in Harwinton. Police Issue Safety Reminders After Deer Crashes Through Woman's Windshield A female motorist had a very scary moment when a deer crashed through the windshield of her car in Fairfield County on Friday morning, June 8, state police said. The incident occurred on Route 8 in Trumbull when the deer ran onto the highway in front of the car shown above as the woman was driving southbound near exit 8. After the deer was struck, it went through the windshield into the car. Luckily the operator was able to keep control of her car and pull to the right shoulder, police said.
