The event is intended to pair volunteer Repair Coaches, who are neighbors with DIY expertise, with those who bring in items that need to be repaired, such as computers, lamps, clothing, small appliances, toys, electronics and more. Anything that can be carried in by an individual will be considered for repair, event sponsors say, aside from items with gas engines. Teacher's Aide Who Lives In Warwick Indicted For Bringing Gun To School A 24-year-old teacher's aide who was arrested for bringing a gun in her purse to an area school has been indicted by a grand jury for felony possession of a weapon on school grounds. Gillian J. Jeffords of Warwick who was also indicted on three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, was employed as a teacher's aide at the Rockland BOCES Jesse Kapan School in West Nyack, came to work on March 29, with a fully loaded gun in her purse, according to the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.
