Officials ID Woman, 36, Killed After Being Hit By Train That Departed From Rockland County NJ Transit officials have identified the 36-year-old woman struck and killed by a train in River Edge over the weekend. Kim N. Almonte, of River Edge, was struck near the New Bridge Landing station by Pascack Valley Line train 2118 around 4:45 p.m., NJ Transit spokesman Kyalo Mulumba tells Daily Voice. The train had left Spring Valley, NY at 4:05 p.m.and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 5:20 p.m., Mulumba said. No injuries were reported to the 120 customers or the crew on board. The incident took place in Rockland County around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 in Spring Valley. According to MTA officials, the person was struck by a train departing Spring Valley Station at the Dutch Lane crossing. Service on the Pascack Valley Line is suspended in both directions between Spring Valley and Nanuet, officials said. Covid-19: Here's When Latest Metro-North Schedule Change Starts As ridership continues to plummet to historic lows amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the MTA announced it will once again be altering the schedule for Metro-North trains. Beginning on Monday, April 13, Metro-North will operate on an hourly schedule on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines during both the weekdays and weekends. The Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines will remain on Saturday schedules, with hourly service at some points of the day. Changes also include Harlem Line trains to operate every two hours on weekdays between Southeast and Wassaic. There is no service …
