A federal lawsuit has been filed against the Village of Airmont to "rectify," the village's alleged effort to discriminate against its Orthodox Jewish community. Rockland County Executive Ed Day announced that he will not renew the state of emergency order enacted earlier this year in an effort to stem the rise of measles cases during the 10-month outbreak. Rockland County Executive Ed Day has issued a third state of emergency declaration in response to the ongoing measles outbreak in the county. The new declaration replaces the second declaration that expired on Saturday, May 25, said John Lyon, spokesman for Rockland County.
