Man, 20, Charged With Manslaughter In 3-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash A 20-year-old man was charged with manslaughter for allegedly causing a crash that killed another man during a race on a Hudson Valley highway. 1 Killed In Single-Vehicle Orange County Crash One person was killed and another was seriously injured during a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred around 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20 in Orange County near exit 39 on the eastbound side of I-84 in the town of Newburgh. Nissan Recalling Nearly 800K Vehicles Due To Potential Fire Risk Nissan has announced a recall of nearly 800,000 SUVs in the US and Canada that may have a defective part that could pose as a potential fire risk. The recall, which was caused by a defective dash side harness that can lead to a fire in “rare cases” includes 793,000 Nissan Rogue models produced between 2014 and 2016. According to Nissan officials, approximately “0.01 percent” of the vehicles included in the recall actually have the defective part. 12-Year-Old Hit By SUV Crossing Old Nyack Turnpike A 12-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle Wednesday as he crossed Old Nyack Turnpike. The incident took place around 5:12 p.m. when the boy, who lived in the area, was crossing the roadway in Chestnut Ridge and was struck by a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The driver of the vehicle, a 57-year-old female from West Nyack, remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation,  police said.
