Newburgh Fire Department Unveils New Recruits, Announces Promotions
The Newburgh Fire Department's two new recruits and a handful of promotions were announced at a special ceremony. Wytoskia T. Balty and Rigoberto Medina officially became probationary firefighters on Thursday, said Fire Chief Terry Ahlers. The men will begin training at the New York State Fire Academy this weekend and continue for the next 11 weeks. Other promotions include Michael Kiernan who was promoted to Lieutenant.
