34-Year-Old Woman Killed After Tree Falls On Top Of Car In Hudson Valley A woman was killed after a tree fell on her car on a busy roadway in the region. The incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 in Westchester County on I-95, in Harrison, between exits 18B (White Plains) and 19 (Rye/Harrison). State Police say that a preliminary investigation determined that Susan D. Braga, age 34, of Mount Vernon,  was traveling southbound in the area of mile marker 10.5, when the tree fell on top of her 2009 Toyota Prius.  The tree bounced off the roof upon impact and the Toyota continued a short distance until it came to rest against a Ford F2…

Support Pours In For Family Of Woman Killed In Orange County Crash Support is pouring in for the family of a woman who was killed in a Hudson Valley crash after being sideswiped by a driver who fell asleep. Eileen Habesland, age 44, was killed around 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, in Orange County on Route 17K in the town of Montgomery, police said.  Shortly following her death, a GoFundMe was started to help her family in Buffalo deal with funeral costs and other financial issues. Orange County Woman, 25, Killed In Route 17 Crash A 25-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash after losing control of her vehicle and hitting a tree. Orange County resident Rachael Angelo, of Circleville, in the town of Wallkill, was killed around 10:20 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, on Route 17, in Goshen, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Angelo was driving a gray Volkswagen went for "some reason" she lost control, went off the left shoulder of the highway, and crashed into a tree, Nevel said. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
