Federal Judge Orders Spring Valley Man Held In 7-Pound Heroin, Fentanyl-Related Bust A federal judge in New Jersey ordered a Spring Valley man held without bail after authorities said they found more than seven pounds of heroin and a fentanyl precursor in his car and home. Authorities learned that David Valle Campos, 45, “planned to sell a substantial quantity of either heroin, fentanyl or both to a buyer in the Trenton area,” U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Craig Carpenito said. Gang Member's Accomplice Sentenced After Victim Dumped In Orange County The confessed accomplice of a Rockland gang member was sent to federal prison for three years Wednesday for smashing a carjacked cab driver in the head with a beer bottle before others dumped the victim on the side of the New York State Thruway in Orange County. Arlyn Jowany Carrasco Cruz, 28, will have to serve just about all of the sentence because there is no parole in the federal prison system. Cruz and five accomplices carjacked the driver of a 2008 Dodge Caravan in the early morning hours of Dec. 26, 2016, in Ridgewood, N.J., forcing him into the back of the vehicle, authorities said.…
