National Guard Sergeant Nabbed For Sexual Offenses In Hudson Valley, State Police Say
A ranking officer in the Army National Guard has been accused of committing sexual offenses, according to New York State Police.
Sergeant First Class Pablo Rivera, age 49, who resides on Long Island in Franklin Square, was arrested on Monday, May 15, and charged with two counts of forcible touching.
A lengthy investigation determined that the victim was inappropriately touched by Rivera on two different occasions in Northern Westchester County, in the town of Cortlandt and the city of Peekskill, state police announced on Wednesday, May 17.

Police asked the public for help identifying a man who is wanted for using stolen credit cards at multiple Northern Westchester stores.
On Thursday, Nov. 10, a man used stolen credit cards to purchase items at various stores in Ossining, Cortlandt, and Peekskill, New York State Police reported on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Police said the items were valued at more than $1,173 in total.

A former Northern Westchester town employee and an owner of a landscaping business were both indicted in an illegal dumping scheme that could cost the town up to $1.5 million.

A Northern Westchester man who was stopped for allegedly driving while intoxicated got aggressive with New York State Police troopers attempting to release him to his family, leading to additional charges, authorities announced.
Troopers on patrol at approximately 2:51 a.m. on Sunday, March 20 in Cortlandt stopped Bryan Illescas, age 22, for multiple vehicle and traffic violations as he drove through the area on Lexington Avenue.
