Fatal House Fire Breaks Out In Rockland County An investigation is underway after one person was killed in a house fire in the Hudson Valley. The blaze in Rockland County broke out at around 4:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30 at 49 Laurel Rd. in Central Nyack. As responders arrived, they observed a single-family home with fire engulfing the first floor. Home Heavily Damagec After Fire Breaks Out In Area A house was heavily damaged after an overnight fire in the Hudson Valley. The blaze broke out at around 8:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25 in Rockland County, at Regina Court in the hamlet of Blauvelt. A man who attempted to jump from the new Tappan Zee Bridge was rescued by troopers and a special police unit who rappelled over the side of the bridge and pulled him up with ropes. The incident began on the bridge in Southern Westchester in the area of Tarrytown around 9:20 a.m., Friday, May 27. Fire Breaks Out At Popular Area Restaurant A fire at a popular area restaurant was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The blaze began in Rockland County around at 9:39 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6, at Bailey's Smokehouse on East Erie Street in Blauvelt, said the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company.
