New Bridge Construction To Close Rockland County Roadway For Months Rockland County drivers will need to find detours when construction begins on a new bridge in Rockland County. Snake Hill Road in West Nyack will be closed between Old Mill Road and Crusher Road beginning Tuesday, April 18 lasting into September, said the Clarkstown Police. The closure is due to a new bridge being constructed over the railroad tracks. Detour signs will be posted on Old Mill Road and Kings Highway.  Drivers should be prepared to use alternate routes of travel during this time.

Photos: $3.2M Bridge Project Completed In Area The $3.2 million dollar replacement of the Salt Point Turnpike Bridge in the Town of Pleasant Valley has been completed. Bridge Replacement Project Will Lead To Closure In Area There will be closures for several weeks on a busy Rockland County roadway as contracting crews begin construction activity in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert on Wednesday cautioning that beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 23, and continuing through Tuesday, Aug. 28, Route 45 will be closed in Ramapo between Maple Avenue and Columbus Avenue, as crews perform bridge construction activities.
