Man Ejected From Car, Thrown Into Ravine After Crash On Highway In Hudson Valley First responders carried out a careful rescue operation after a man fell over 50 feet down a ravine following a crash on a highway in Northern Westchester.  The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 29 at around 6:30 p.m., when a three-car crash occurred on Interstate 684 in Bedford at the overpass spanning Beaver Dam Park. As a result of the crash, one man was ejected from his vehicle and sent into a ravine underneath the overpass, according to the Katonah Fire Department. Soon after the crash, first responders raced to both the overpass and Beaver Dam Park below to find the fallen man.…

House Fire Breaks Out In Hudson Valley Multiple crews responded to a fire that broke out at a home in Northern Westchester. Firefighters responded to a report of a grill fire at a residence on Route 202 in Somers at about 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department. Firefighters found a two-story home with a fire on the exterior. With the fire spreading into the residence, crews called for additional resources in the area, officials said. ID Released For Man Killed In Crash That Caused Hours-Long Saw Mill Parkway Closure The driver who died in a crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway that closed the northbound lanes in Bedford Hills for hours has been identified. Robert Leff, 51, of the Baldwin Place section of Somers, died around 11:25 a.m. Thursday after crashing into a tree, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Leff was traveling northbound in the vicinity of Green Lane when his Toyota Rav 4 left the roadway and struck a tree.
