Safe Steps: Port Jervis Officers Become Walking School Bus For Students

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — Members of the Port Jervis Police Department hit the streets Wednesday — but for a fun and safe cause.

The officers became a "walking school bus" for 50 kids at Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School. 

They escorted the students from J's Mobil to A.S.K.

"Along the way, they were given pedestrian and bicycle safety tips. All participants received book bags and treats!," Port Jervis Police said in a Facebook post.
