Middletown Man Charged With Murder After Beating Homeless Man To Death

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. – A Middletown man was arraigned on first-degree murder charges after a homeless man was beaten to death on Low Street on Sunday, according to the Times Heral Record.

Police said Primitivo Sosa, 27, grabbed the victim, who was lying on a mattress behind St. Joseph's Cemetery at the time of the attack and struck him several times in the face, the Record reported. 

Sosa was assigned an attorney from the Legal Aid Society of Orange County and bail was set at $500,000, the Record said.
