Home Heavily Damaged After Fire Breaks Out In Region A house was heavily damaged after an overnight fire in the Hudson Valley. The blaze broke out at around 8:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25 in Rockland County, at Regina Court in the hamlet of Blauvelt. Emergency responders found the house to be fully involved in flames upon arriving at the scene, according to the Orangetown Police Department. Several Roads Closed Following Crash Between Car, Dump Truck In Area Several roads in Rockland County are closed to traffic following a two-vehicle crash. West Nyack, Old Mill Road, and Snake Hill Road in West Nyack are closed due to the crash which involved a car and a dump truck.   The crash took place around 2:45 p.m., Monday, May 3, said Officer Norman Peters of the Clarkstown Police. The driver of the car receives a serious arm injury, said Peters. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. Clarkstown Police, the West Nyack Fire Department, and EMS are all on the scene. The unidentified man was found around 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 14 by Clarkstown Police after responding to a report of an unresponsive man on Dutch Court in West Nyack, said Officer Norman Peters. When officers arrived, they were directed by family members to a bedroom where the man was found and pronounced dead by Rockland Paramedic Services, Peters said. Michael Mantell, 75, of Nanuet, died around 6:20 a.m., Wednesday, March 11, during a fire at his home at 27 Amarillo Drive, said the Clarkstown Police Department. Fire Breaks Out At Popular Area Restaurant A fire at a popular area restaurant was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The blaze began in Rockland County around at 9:39 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 6, at Bailey's Smokehouse on East Erie Street in Blauvelt, said the Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company. Firefighters responded to a report of a kitchen/chimney fire at the restaurant but discovered once on the scene that the air conditioning unit on the roof was the source of the fire.
