Combative 20-Year-Old Busted With 'Ghost' Gun During Traffic Stop In Region, Police Say A routine traffic stop in the region ended with a 20-year-old in handcuffs on weapons charges. The Saratoga County incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, in Halfmoon on Tower Way. State Police said 20-year-old Shawn Koenig, of Pittsfield in Rensselaer County, was initially stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The trooper ordered him out of the car for a standardized field sobriety test, but Koenig reportedly refused to cooperate. Liberty Man Caught With Gun, Bullets At JFK, TSA Says A man from the region was arrested by police after Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers detected a handgun and bullets in his carry-on bag at a JFK airport security checkpoint. The Sullivan County resident, from the town of Liberty, was charged on Wednesday, April 19 after the unloaded firearm was found alongside five bullets in a gun magazine said TSA officials. Man Tries To Bring Loaded Gun On Flight At Airport In Region, TSA Says A man faces a weapons charge after attempting to bring a loaded handgun and several magazines on a flight at Westchester County Airport, authorities said.  The incident happened on Sunday, April 2, when a Florida man entered the airport's security checkpoint and the X-ray unit alerted Transportation Security Administration officers to inspect his carry-on bag.  After looking inside the bag, officers found a 9mm handgun loaded with 10 bullets, including one that was in the weapon's chamber.
