Ulster Man Arrested Twice In One Day, Police Say
A 57-year-old man was arrested twice in one day, once for allegedly attempting to punch a woman in the face, and later for illegal possession of weapons.
Ulster County resident Jeffrey Sackal, of Saugerties, was first arrested at 1:17 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, when Town of Saugerties police responded to Center Road for a report of domestic violence, Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
When police arrived they found that Sackal had allegedly threatened to punch the victim in the face while approaching her in a threatening manner.

Ulster Resident Arrested After Hitting Victim During Dispute, Police Say
A 40-year-old woman was arrested following a domestic dispute in which she allegedly hit the victim.
The incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, when the Saugerties Police responded to a domestic dispute on Sawmill Road, said Town of Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra.
An investigation found during a verbal dispute with the victim, Olivia Yonnetti, of Saugerties, engaged in physical contact, striking the victim, the chief said.
