Couple Charged With Stealing Flowers From Graves, Town Of Lloyd Police Say Two people have been arrested for allegedly stealing plants, pumpkins, and flowers from graves in a Hudson Valley cemetery. Orange County residents John D. Riach, age 69, and Lisebeth S. Riach, age 63, both of the Town of Newburgh, were arrested Thursday, Oct. 27 for the incidents which occurred in Ulster County in the town of Lloyd, said Lloyd Police Chief James Janso. Former Town Supervisor In Ulster County Dies At Age 56 A former town supervisor in the area has died at the age of 56. Police: Duo From Ulster County Hospitalized After Crashing Stolen Vehicle Two men were hospitalized, one in critical condition, after fleeing from New York State Police troopers in an allegedly stolen vehicle before crashing in the area. Troopers on patrol at approximately 2 a.m. on Friday, May 7 on Route 9W in Ulster County in the Town of Lloyd attempted to stop the driver of a 2005 Nissan Sentra after he committed a traffic violation. Man Walking On Route 9W In Ulster Struck, Killed By Pickup Truck An investigation is underway after a man was struck and killed by a pickup truck on a busy area roadway. It happened on Saturday, July 11 in Ulster County at about 3:45 a.m. on Route 9W and North Riverside Road in the town of Lloyd. An investigation revealed that Orange County resident Leon P. Highland Man Nabbed For Allegedly Stealing $1,800 In Jewelry, Police Say A Highland man has been arrested for allegedly ripping off some $1,800 in jewelry. Dominick Teroni Jr., 45, was arrested by Town of Lloyd Police after he was accused of entering another person's home and stealing the jewelry, Town of Lloyd police said. Teroni was charged with felony burglary, grand larceny, and petit larceny. He was arraigned before the Town of Lloyd Judge Eugene Rizzo and is being held at the Ulster County Jail without bail.

Drug Task Force Nabs Ulster Man For Drugs, Gun A 39-year-old man is behind bars after being busted for drugs and a gun following an investigation into drug dealing by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force. Zakeen Johnson, of the Town of Lloyd in Ulster County, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 27, after the task force executed search warrants at addresses in both the Town of Poughkeepsie and the Town of Lloyd, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.
