Man Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash In Area A 51-year-old man died after losing control of his motorcycle on a Hudson Valley roadway. The crash took place in Dutchess County around noon on Saturday, Aug. 13 in Stormville at the intersection of Route 216 and Phillips Road. Man Busted For DWI With Infant In Car Following Crash In Area, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was busted for an alleged DWI with an infant in the car following a single-vehicle crash. Osgual Omar Romero-Godoy, age 20, of Stormville, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 7, by Yorktown Police following a single-vehicle on Curry Street in Yorktown, the department said. According to police, officers responded to the crash and found Romero-Godoy who said there was a 1-year-old child in the backseat of the vehicle. NY State Announces Completion Of I-84 Paving Project A multi-million dollar resurfacing project along one of the Hudson Valley’s busiest stretches of I-84 has been completed. The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday, Dec. 8 that an $11 million project to resurface a 7.7-mile stretch of the interstate between Dutchess and Putnam counties has been completed. Construction crews began the I-84 project in the spring and it was expedited during the COVID-19 pandemic and finished ahead of schedule. I-84 Reopens After Rollover Tractor-Trailer Crash A stretch of I-84 has now fully reopened about 10 hours after a rollover tractor-trailer crash. The crash happened just before dawn westbound in East Fishkill between Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 52 (the Taconic State Parkway) on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The left lane reopened around 10 a.m. The right lane reopened at around 2:30 p.m. A detour had been established at the Stormville rest area. There were heavy delays in the area throughout the morning commute.

Officer Injured After Attack At Correctional Facility In Area An officer at an area correctional facility was injured after being attacked by an inmate. The incident happened in Dutchess County at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville took place on Monday, Oct. 28, resulting in several non-life threatening injuries, said DOCCS spokesperson Thomas Mailey.
