Marlboro Central School District Names New Superintendent
A school district in the Hudson Valley has just named a longtime educator in the region as its new superintendent. In Ulster County, the Marlboro Board of Education announced that it has appointed Michael Rydell as the district’s new superintendent of schools. He will be replacing Michael Brooks, who is retiring this summer. The appointment was made during a board meeting on Wednesday, July 6. 19: Positive Case Reported At School District In Hudson Valley
There has been a new positive COVID-19 case in a Westchester school district. Someone at the William E. Cottle Elementary School in Tuckahoe has tested positive for the virus, Superintendent Amy Goodman wrote in a note to parents. It was not disclosed whether it was a student or staff member who tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, Sept. 11. Goodman said the person who tested positive for the virus is in a state-mandated quarantine and alerted students and staff members who were exposed through contact tracing.

19: Hudson Valley Teachers Express Concerns About Schools Reopening
With schools in New York set to physically reopen in September, some teachers in the Hudson Valley have shown trepidation about returning to the classroom during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this month, New York Gov.
