Child Struck By School Bus In Region, Police Say
A 6-year-old Hudson Valley boy is recovering after being struck by a school bus. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 26 in Monsey. According to Det. Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, the child was struck by a school bus on West Maple Avenue. Franklin said the child suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance Corps. A young girl was hit and killed by a school bus in the Hudson Valley The incident took place in Rockland County around 11:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 16 in the area of S. Madison Ave., in Spring Valley, said the Spring Valley Police According to Det. Child Struck, Killed By School Bus In Region
A child has died after being struck by a school bus in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Monday, Jan. 29 in front of 100 Clinton Ave., in the Village of New Square. According to Lt. Blaine Howell of the Ramapo Police, the 8-year-old child was treated by paramedics on the scene but was pronounced dead. The driver of the bus remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police, Howell said. Click here for an updated story: Pickup Truck Driver Cited In Route 17 Crash With School Bus In Sullivan A stretch of Route 17 has reopened after five students and two adults on a school bus were injured during a two-vehicle crash in which the school bus overturned. It happened around 7:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sullivan County eastbound in Mamakating between the bus and a pickup truck, state police said. The injuries were reported as being minor. Route 17 was closed eastbound between Exits 112 and 113 in Mamakating for about two hours. The lanes reopened just before 10 a.m.
