High-Speed Chase Reaching 100 MPH Leads To Drug Arrest In Hudson Valley
A high-speed chase with state police which reached speeds of 100 mph ended in a crash and led to the arrest of two men who were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. The chase began in Rockland County in Ramapo around 2 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 when troopers patrolling the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Ramapo, spotted a 2021 Nissan Altima traveling north on the parkway in violation of traffic laws, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Motorist Threatens Victim With Knife During Road-Rage Incident In Area, Police Say
State police charged a man from the area after he threatened another driver with a military-style knife during a road-rage incident, ultimately using it to damage the other driver's car. According to troopers in Middletown, the incident took place at approximately 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19 in the city of Crawford. Three Nabbed After High-Speed Chase That Ended With Two Police Cruisers Hit
Three men were arrested after taking New York State police on a chase that ended with two police vehicles being hit. The incident took place around 2:21 a.m., Saturday, June 6, when state police received information regarding a stolen 2006 GMC Envoy from New York City, which was spotted on I-84 in Orange County. Pickup Truck Driver Cited In Route 17 Crash With School Bus In Sullivan
A 57-year-old pickup truck driver has been charged in the crash on Route 17 with a school bus that injured five students. The crash took place around 7:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 20, in Sullivan County eastbound in Mamakating between the bus and a pickup truck, said New York State Trooper Steve Nevel. The school bus was traveling from Fallsburg to Boces in Orange County with five children and two bus monitors, Nevel said. The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of a series of upcoming traffic stoppages on Route 17. The Department says traffic stoppages are scheduled for Route 17 eastbound and westbound between Exit 127 (Route 17M) and Exit 131 (Route 17/32) in the Orange County village of Chester and the towns of Blooming Grove, Monroe and Woodbury.
