Police Rescue Three Children Being Held Hostage In Ulster County Hotel Room State Police rescued three children who they say were being held hostage in a hotel room in the Hudson Valley. Police responded at around 6:35 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Ulster County, when a Kingston man called 911 to say he was holding three children hostage at the Rodeway Inn in the Town of Ulster. The children were described as being ages 4, 2, and 1, said police. An investigation revealed that Kingston resident Scipio D. Man Charged With Kidnapping Woman From Ulster County Hotel, Police Say A man has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman from an area hotel at gunpoint. Christopher Reed, age 41, of San Antonio, Texas, was arrested on Monday, Sept. 27, after police responded to the Rodeway Inn on Forest Hill Drive in the town of Ulster for a report of a woman taken at gunpoint. An investigation revealed that Reed had displayed a weapon while demanding the woman get into the vehicle with him, according to Chief Kyle Berardi, of the Ulster Police.
