A summer preview will be followed by a swing in temperatures and then the return of precipitation for the second half of the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, Thursday, May 2, will have a mix of sun and clouds following dense morning fog reducing visibility. Temperatures will rise to around 80 degrees, which is about 15 degrees above the normal high for early May. Separate Rounds Of Showers Will Follow Late Winter Warmup: 5-Day Forecast
Separate rounds of showers will follow a springlike stretch marked by mild temperatures and clear skies. It will be sunny with temperatures above average on Wednesday, March 13, and Thursday, March 14 with high temperatures in the mid-60s on Wednesday and upper 60s on Thursday with calm winds. The first round of showers will move in overnight Thursday into Friday, March 15. Showers will continue through early Friday afternoon on a mostly cloudy day with temps in the 60s. The arrival of winter, which came late Tuesday morning, Dec. 21, will be followed by several separate rounds of precipitation leading into Christmas Day, with the potential for chances for sleet and snow in areas farthest north and inland. A pleasant start to the weekend will be followed by the arrival of separate rounds of showers and thunderstorms. The chance for precipitation will begin in the overnight hours on Sunday, July 25, and continuing through mid-morning. It will be mostly cloudy Sunday with a high temperature in the low 80s. Super Soaker: Here's How Much Rainfall To Expect On Wet, Windy Day
The remnants of Post Tropical Cyclone Olga will bring soaking rain, scattered storms, strong winds and possible flooding to the region. Precipitation from the system arrived overnight and will continue throughout the day. Nestor, a tropical storm that has moved to the East Coast, is expected to bring precipitation to the area on Sunday, Oct. 20. The heaviest rain from the system will be south of New York City, where locally heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms are expected. (See image above.)
