Man Nabbed For Hit-Run Crash In Region, Police Say A man was nabbed after he struck a pedestrian with a van he was driving and fled from the scene in the area, authorities said. The incident occurred in Northern Westchester at 8:15 a.m., Friday, July 22 in Mount Kisco, at Main Street and Bedford Road (Route 117). The woman who was crossing the street in front of Northern Westchester Hospital Center was struck by a white van, which immediately turned on to South Bedford Road and fled eastbound into Bedford, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Dutchess County resident Ronald Louis Vece Jr. of Poughquag, died at his home on Wednesday, July 13, according to his obituary. Vece was born in Yonkers and graduated from Arlington High School in Lagrangeville, where he played soccer, his obituary said. He also belonged to the Hudson Valley Umpire's Association. Dutchess County resident Allen Peloquin, aka "Ace," age 34, of Poughkeepsie, was taken into custody on Thursday, March 31. Peloquin was charged with distributing fentanyl-laced heroin that resulted in the death of a woman in Putnam County in Carmel, in Feb. 2020, and a man in Poughkeepsie, in May 2020, said Damian Williams, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
