Man From The Region Charged With Cocaine Sales By Drug Task Force A Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly selling cocaine following a raid by a drug task force.  The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force began an investigation several months ago related to dangerous drug sales in the city of Beacon.  As a result of this investigation, the Drug Task Force identified Jerami Davis, age 34, of Beacon, as a person alleged to be selling cocaine, said Det. Two Nabbed With Defaced Gun During Area Traffic Stop, Police Say A man and a woman were arrested by state police for allegedly possessing a defaced gun that was found during a traffic stop. The arrests took place on Wednesday, July 21, when troopers stopped a 2006 Volkswagen Passat on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County in the town of Stony Point for a vehicle and traffic law violation.  An investigation after the stop revealed the occupants of the vehicle were in possession of an illegally defaced loaded Taurus Model P2-22 handgun, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Man Nabbed With Crack During Traffic Stop In Area, Police Say A 46-year-old man has been arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance. Darius Wood was arrested on Tuesday, April 27 following a traffic stop in the City of Poughkeepsie, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. According to Hicks, at approximately 7 p.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2009 Honda for a violation on North White Street. During the stop, troopers found that Wood was in possession of 1.2 grams of crack cocaine. Wood, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released on his own recognizance.

Carl Hannan, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Tuesday, March 30, for the shooting which took place on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 1:05 a.m., in the City of Poughkeepsie, said Det. Lt. Rampo Police arrested the pair of 28-year-old Spring Valley residents on Tuesday, Dec. 31, after receiving a call from the store of a larceny in progress, police said. The caller told officers that the two men allegedly stole numerous items from the store shelves and displays, Ramapo Police reported. Ulster Woman Nabbed For Heroin Possession, Driving With Suspended License A 27-year-old area woman was arrested for alleged possession of heroin and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop. Mariah Candelario, of Late Katrine, was arrested around 10 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 16, following a stop by an Ulster County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, said Det. Lt. Abram Markiewicz. An investigation during the stop allegedly found heroin and that Candelario's license had been suspended, police said.
