Kingston Man Slashes Barber, Cuts Own Throat, Police Say A man from the region is behind bars after allegedly slashing a barber numerous times with a knife and then cutting his own throat on a local street. The incident occurred in Ulster County in the 600 block of Broadway at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in Kingston. According to Chief Egidio Tinti of the Kingston Police, Gunercindo Diaz-Diaz, age 41 of Kingston, was spotted by a New York State Trooper with a knife to his neck on a city street. The trooper pulled over and tried to talk Diaz-Diaz out of harming himself, but he cut his neck, causing a minor injury, Tinti said. The trooper …

32-Year-Old Accused Of Assaulting Trooper After Crash In Area A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked a New York State trooper and fought with others following his arrest for DWI. The incident took place in Orange County around 11 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at 11 p.m. at the Wallkill Rest Area off I-84 in Wallkill.  Upon arrival, troopers found a 2013 Honda Civic parked in a handicapped parking spot with a flat tire. NY State Trooper Injured In Hit-Run Crash Police are investigating after a New York State trooper was injured in a hit-and-run crash overnight. It happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties in the village of Port Chester. State Police Vehicle Involved In Hudson Valley Crash A New York State Trooper received minor injuries after being rear-ended by another vehicle while in traffic in Westchester. The crash took place around 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, on I-287 westbound in White Plains when the trooper was sitting in traffic and was rear-ended by another vehicle, said Trooper Tara McCormick. The vehicle received minor damage.  The trooper was treated for minor neck and back pain, McCormick said.  No other injuries were reported.
