Kent Strickland welcomes all types of patrons at his Long Island bagel shop, and yes, he told Daily Voice, that even includes Mets fans.

A Westchester woman who was known for her work at Ground Zero with the Red Cross and for singing the National Anthem at Major League Baseball games has died.
Marie Menna-Doescher, age 61, of Eastchester, died on Tuesday, May 17, after earlier surviving a 9/11 linked cancer relating to her volunteer work for the Red Cross at Ground Zero, according to her obituary.
In 1965 the family moved to Eastchester. Her schooling began uneventfully enough, but after singing a solo in a musical performance at Eastchester High School, she blossomed as a natural singing talent, pursuing her singing career …
Acting Mets GM Placed On Administrative Leave After Bust In Hudson Valley
Zack Scott, the acting general manager of the New York Mets had his driving privileges revoked after being arraigned for allegedly driving while intoxicated when he was found asleep behind the wheel in the Hudson Valley.
Scott, age 44, of Rye, was charged in White Plains City Court with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, while being cited for disobeying a traffic control device, illegally stopping on a highway, and failure to notify the DMV of an address change, all infractions.

Half of New York’s 10 regions are on track to enter Phase 4 of the state’s mandated four-phase reopening as the state continues its recovery from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Mohawk Valley, Finger Lakes, North Country, Central New York, and Southern Tier are all set to enter Phase 4 of reopening their economies as of Friday, June 26, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced during a COVID-19 briefing on Wednesday, June 24 in Manhattan.

Covid-19: Noted Sports Photographer Anthony Causi, Pace University Grad, Dies At 48
Anthony Causi, a prominent and popular sports photographer, died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Causi, a Pace University graduate who worked for the New York Post, died on Sunday, April 12 at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, the paper announced. He was 48.
A Brooklyn native, Causi joined The Post in 1994, working his way up from a photo messenger to a full-time photojournalist. During his career, he covered the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Rangers and more for The Post.
Causi was remembered by Yankee legend Derek Jeter on social media.
