Road Closure Alert: Busy Hudson Valley Roadway To Undergo Culvert Replacement Motorists will want to make note that a busy Hudson Valley roadway will be closed for more than a month for construction upgrades. Route 208 in Orange County in the town of Hamptonburgh will be closed between Forrester Road and Station Road from Monday, July 10 through Sunday, Aug. 20 for culvert replacement, according to the state Department of Transportation. Drivers should follow the posted detour using Route 207 and Maybrook Road as an alternate. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.

Route 55 is closed between Hoyt Road and the Connecticut state line, said the New York Department of Transportation. Lane Closures: Busy Roadway In Region To Be Affected For More Than Week Commuters are being warned that a major state route in Northern Westchester will soon be affected by lane closures.  Starting on Tuesday, Feb. 14, one lane of State Route 9A in both directions will close between State Route 117 in Mount Pleasant and US Route 9 in Ossining, the New York Department of Transportation announced.  The closures will be in effect on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Wednesday, Feb. 22, weather permitting. The lane closures are being implemented to allow for roadway work.

Lane Of I-84 In Region To Close For A Week A lane of a busy highway in the region will close for most of the day over the span of a week.  A lane of I-84 eastbound and westbound will close between Exit 52 (Taconic State Parkway) in the Dutchess County town of East Fishkill and Exit 68 (Interstate 684) in the Putnam County town of Southeast beginning on Monday, Oct. 31, and lasting until Friday, Nov. 3, New York Department of Transportation officials said.  The lane will close between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day to allow for bridge maintenance, officials said.

Lane Of Busy Highway In Region To Close 5 Nights A Week One lane of a busy Hudson Valley highway will close for five nights a week for four weeks to allow for road work.  Beginning on Sunday, Oct. 23, one lane of I-84 westbound and eastbound between Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and the Connecticut state line in the Putnam County town of Kent will close Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow for paving work, the New York Department of Transportation announced.  The lane closures will continue Sunday through Thursday nights until Thursday, Nov. 17, officials said.
