A 23-year-old man was killed after police say he lost control of his vehicle and hit a guardrail on a Hudson Valley roadway. The incident happened around 4:50 p.m. Monday, July 31 in Orange County on I-84 in the hamlet Slate Hill. Troopers from the Greenville barracks responded to I-84 westbound in Slate Hill for a report of a motorcycle crash, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Mother Shot On Porch Of Home In Port Ewen Near Young Child
Detectives are investigating after a mother was shot on the front porch of her Hudson Valley home in what's called a safe area. The incident took place in Ulster County around 9:50 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 in the hamlet of Port Ewen. According to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home on North Court for a report of gunshots and a woman screaming. Do you know them? Police have identified two "persons of interest" after three people were shot following a high school football game overnight in the Hudson Valley. Woman Dies After Being Pulled From Lake In Rosendale
A woman died after being pulled from a lake in the Hudson Valley, according to authorities. At about 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18 authorities in Ulster County were dispatched to Williams Lake, in the Town of Rosendale for a water emergency. Upon arrival, the responding units found that Carol Smith, from New York City, had been visiting friends locally and had gone underwater while swimming and not resurfaced, according to the Rosendale Police Department. A man was hit and killed by a vehicle while crossing a busy roadway in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 10 p.m., Saturday, June 18 in Wappingers Falls on South Avenue near West Academy Street. An area woman and child were injured after being struck by an alleged drunk driver while crossing a roadway in the rain. The incident took place in Orange County around 9:50 p.m., Saturday, March 19, on Route 208 in the town of Monroe. An area man was seriously injured after being hit in the head with a bat on Halloween. The incident took place around 8:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31 on Fountain Place, in Poughkeepsie, said the City of Poughkeepsie Poice. A suspect is in custody after a fatal stabbing following a high school football game in the Hudson Valley overnight.
