In Orange County, Middletown High School will be closed on Friday, Nov. 17 following the fight on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 16. The closure for grades 9-12 only. All K-8 campuses will be open. Teacher Injured During Fight At High School In Orange County A teacher was injured during a fight between two students at a school in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Orange County on Monday, March 6 at Middletown High School. The fight took place in a hallway outside a classroom.  The teacher was injured while attempting to intervene, said Amy Creeden, Superintendent of Schools for the Enlarged City School District of Middletown. Online Threat Under Investigation At School District In Area Two Hudson Valley schools will be open on Friday, Sept. 16, despite an online threat. The threat originated in Orange County circulating among students via Apple Airdrop at Middletown High School, said Amy Creeden, superintendent of the district of Middletown. ID Released For High School Student Stabbed To Death By Teen Girl A 17-year-old area high school student has been identified as the victim of a deadly stabbing. Roy Boyd, of the City of Middletown, was found stabbed to death around 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21, following a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute on Orchard Street, said City of Middletown Police Lt. Jeffry R. Thoelen. As officers responded to the area, a second call said that Boyd, who attended Middletown High School, had been stabbed in the chest.
