New L.L. Bean Store To Open In Ulster Crossing Popular outdoor gear and flannel shirt retailer L.L. Bean will open its newest store in the region next month. Based in Freeport, Maine, L.L. Bean will open its newest retail store in Ulster County on Friday, May 10, at Ulster Crossing in Ulster. Store officials said the Ulster store is the first of four projected openings in 2024 and the eighth L.L.Bean store to open in New York. Boot Suit: NY Woman Sues L.L. Bean Over Footwear's 'Waterproof' Claims A New York woman is suing L.L. Bean for false advertising, claiming that some of the company’s waterproof boots are not actually waterproof.
