A tutor from Westchester is facing charges for allegedly sexually exploiting a minor he was teaching, recording it on his phone, and transporting child pornography to and from Fairfield County. Tuckahoe resident John Mueser was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 19 and charged with sexual exploitation of a 7-year-old minor and with transporting child pornography. A 20-year-old man wanted on two warrants was allegedly nabbed with a semi-automatic rifle and ammunition. Orange County resident David Rombousek, of Port Jervis, was arrested around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, by members of the City of Newburgh Police. Area Woman Stole $42K In Payments From Dead Mother, NYS Comptroller Says
Nearly $42,000 has been recovered from a 63-year-old woman who allegedly stole it from her dead mother’s pension payments, New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli announced. Dutchess County resident Bonnie Robertson, 63, of Pleasant Valley, was sentenced to three years probation and agreed to pay full restitution after pleading guilty to petit larceny earlier this year, DiNapoli announced.
