Teenager Killed After Walking In Front Of Vehicle In Area, Police Say A Hudson Valley teenager was struck and killed when he stepped onto the roadway in front of a vehicle, according to authorities. The incident took place in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., on Tuesday, August 10, on Forest Road in Kiryas Joel, New York State Trooper Steven Nevel said.  An initial investigation indicates, Michael Gestetner, age 18, of Brooklyn, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse southbound on Forest Road when Aaron Freeman, age 16, of Monroe, abruptly entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle, Nevel said.  Freeman was transported by ambulance to Westchest…

Andrew Cuomo. Orange County Executive Executive Steve Neuhaus had requested the containment zone for Kiryas Joel on Thursday, March 16. On Tuesday, March 31, Neuhaus said during his daily briefing that the request had been denied by the state. The victim, Ricardo Martinez, 30, of Monroe, was found injured around 11:06 a.m., Monday, March 16, when New York State Police responded to Zupnick Drive in Kiryas Joel, for a reported construction accident, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Suspect Nabbed In June Area Armed Robbery New York State Police investigators tracked down an armed robbery suspect who allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash from his victim in the area. Jean Ysabel-Guerro, 30, of the Bronx, was arrested by state police for an Orange County robbery on June 20 last year in Kiryas Joel. The suspect was caught on camera, laughing an extensive investigation into the robbery.
