Two men are dead following separate crashes involving pedestrians in the region. The first incident happened in Albany County just before midnight Saturday, Nov. 11, in Colonie on Central Avenue. A man walked into the roadway near Fuller Road and was struck by a Ford F-150 truck that was driving westbound, according to Colonie Police. Ford Recalls 870,000 F-150s Due To Potential Parking Brake Malfunction
A potential parking brake malfunction has prompted the Ford Motor Company to issue a massive recall for its bestselling pickup truck. The recall covers 870,701 Ford F-150s made from January 2020 to February 2023. Trucks with the issue in which faulty brakes may turn on by themselves could see a warning light on the panel of the vehicle. A man and a woman from the region are facing felony charges after police said they robbed a victim in his home and then fled the scene in his pickup truck. Police received a report about a robbery in Sullivan County on Old Liberty Road in Monticello at about 2:40 a.m. on Friday, July 15, according to New York State Police. Ford is recalling upwards of 215,000 pickup trucks and large SUVs sold in the US and Canada that could have leaking brake fluid that impacts stopping distances for drivers. Ford Recalls Popular Pickup Trucks Due To Faulty Headlamps
Nearly a quarter-million Ford pickup trucks are being recalled due to a problem with the daytime running lights. Ford announced that the recall will include approximately 217,000 F-150 models with LED headlights that were produced between 2018 and 2020.
