2 Rock Hill Men Nabbed Cutting Copper Pipes Off Heating Unit, Police Say Two men from the region were charged with felony burglary after allegedly being caught inside a home cutting copper pipes off of a heating system. The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 1 in the town of Thompson at 409 Rock Hill Drive. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle and found the two men identified as Damien Somolinos, age 34, and Richard Galeano, Jr, age 51, both of Rock Hill, inside a residence, cutting copper pipes off of the heating system.  The two suspects were charged wit…

Man Accused Of Breaking Into Home In Region, Breaking Windows A local man is facing charges for allegedly burglarizing a Columbia County home and breaking windows. New York State Police troopers were called to a home in Copake on Friday, July 1, after the victim returned home and saw that someone had broken in and damaged windows. Investigators determined that the culprit was Ancram resident Arnold Albright Jr., age 54, who had violated an order of protection, police said. He was arraigned in the town of Copake court on charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor criminal contempt and criminal mischief. He was being held at the Columbia County jail …

Man Arrested After Attacking Several People During Dispute, Police Say A 44-year-old man was arrested after allegedly kicking down a door and attacking several people, punching them in the face during a domestic dispute. William Green Jr., of the City of Poughkeepsie, was arrested at 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, after Town of Poughkeepsie police responded to a report of domestic violence at the Vassar Garden Apartments, said Capt. Michael O'Dowd. When officers arrived at the apartment they found Green being restrained on the ground by another man, O'Dowd said.
