Father Jumps To Help Son Who Fell Onto Tracks At Station In Region Thanks to quick-thinking Metro-North officials and first responders, a person who fell on electrified tracks at a Northern Westchester train station and his father, who leaped in to help him, were rescued from the perilous situation.  The incident happened on Friday, April 12 around 10:30 a.m., when a person fell from the platform at Croton-Harmon Station onto electrified tracks, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  After the fall, the person's father immediately jumped to help his son and put himself in harm's way in the process, according to the department.  …

Jumper Update: Man Parked Car, Climbed Newburgh-Beacon Bridge Span A man who survived a jump from a Hudson Valley bridge had parked his car below the bridge and walked up the bridge before climbing on a span and jumping. The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Newburgh around 8:45 a.m., Wednesday, June 15. Responding officers spotted the man in the water near the mid-bridge span, said Lt. Police: Five Found Unconscious On Hudson Valley Lawn From Drinking Too Much Five people in their early 20s were hospitalized and treated by EMS after being found unconscious on the lawn of a residence in Northern Westchester. The incident took place around 8:18 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, when New York State Police responded to a residence in Lincolndale, a hamlet of Somers, said Trooper AJ Hicks. When state police arrived, all five were passed out on the lawn of the residence, according to Hicks.  The group had apparently consumed too much alcohol, Hicks said. All are expected to survive, he said.

West Nyack, Old Mill Road, and Snake Hill Road in West Nyack are closed due to the crash which involved a car and a dump truck.   The crash took place around 2:45 p.m., Monday, May 3, said Officer Norman Peters of the Clarkstown Police. The driver of the car receives a serious arm injury, said Peters. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. Clarkstown Police, the West Nyack Fire Department, and EMS are all on the scene. Hudson Valley Man Found Dead In Front Of Citi Field A Westchester County man was found dead lying in a puddle of water in front of Citi Field in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in New York City. Jywan Stovall, age 40, of Elmsford, was spotted lying on the ground just after 5 p.m. Monday, March 1 at 38th Avenue and Seaver Way, said the NYPD.  When found, Stovall was unconscious and unresponsive, partially submerged in water, and with no apparent signs of trauma, NYPD said.  EMS responded to the location and pronounced Stovall dead at the scene.  The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation remains…
