Woman Dies After 70-Foot Fall In Ulster County A 39-year-old woman visiting the area died after falling 70 feet off a cliff at a state park in the region. The incident occurred in Ulster County around 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 22, at Minnewaska State Park in the town of Rochester. Napanaoch Man Nabbed For Pursuit Following Domestic Incident, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was charged with assault and unlawful fleeing following a domestic incident in which he allegedly attacked a woman. Ulster County resident Robert Vanhorn, age 48, of Napanoch, was arrested on Friday, Oct. 6. According to Sgt. Colin Reynolds of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office, on Thursday, Oct. 5 deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic violence attack in Napanoch. The incident took place in Ulster County near the entrance to the Berme Road Park in Ellenville. After the teen was able to break away and run, the five continued to follow him as he fled the park and beat him again at two other locations including at 244 Canal St., said Chief Phillip Mattracion, of the Ellenville Police.
