Schenectady resident Elaine Perkins, age 61, pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Schenectady County Court on Monday, March 4. A home health aide from the region has admitted stealing thousands of dollars from her patient. Rensselaer County resident Lakeisha Stewart, age 43, of Rensselaer, pleaded guilty to attempted grand larceny in Albany County Court on Friday, Dec. 1. Stewart admitted that between January and February 2023, she cashed several checks from the victim’s account while working as their home health aide. Long Island resident Jean Labossiere was last seen at his home on Wilson Boulevard in Central Islip at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. New York State Police are asking the public for help locating a missing 78-year-old woman. Rita Wilson was last seen at about 7:30 a.m. at her home in the Clinton County town of Redford, which is about 22 miles from Plattsburgh, police said. While the physical effects of COVID-19 may wear off for those unfortunate enough to contract the virus, more than a third of survivors are reporting long-term mental health concerns, according to a new study. A study published in the Lancet Psychiatry journal on Tuesday, April 6 found that 34 percent of COVID-19 survivors received a diagnosis for a neurological or psychological condition within six months of their infection.
